The Mortgage Department houses indexes and Mortgage Records (mortgagor, mortgagee, UCC financing statements, and chattel mortgages).

Mortgage Certificates are prepared within this department. These certificates are issued under official seal and certification reflecting all mortgages and privileges against the person and property stated on the certificate. UCC Certificates are also prepared by the Mortgage Department.

The Mortgage Department cancels Encumbrances from the Mortgage Records. After the document has the cancellation noted, it is then recorded in the Recording Department. Click here for cancellation forms.

At the Airline branch office, the duties of the Mortgage Department are primarily the Cancellation of Mortgages, Liens and Judgments. The Airline staff also issues UCC Certificates and clear Lien Certificates and checks Acceptances for corrections before they are recorded.
