Branch Offices

The Airline Highway branch of the Clerk of Court's office is located at 9050 Airline Highway, Suite 100, in the former Woman's Hospital facility, accessible through the previous admissions entrance. Many services are available at the Airline branch, including the following:

The Public Service Department issues marriage licenses, passport assistance and most of the other services found at the downtown office. Major map research is not available at Airline, nor are bound index books. Most of the information found downtown is, however, available through our Image Network System.

The Copy Department assists customers in obtaining copies of Notarial Acts and other information.

The Recording Department is available to record all Notarial Acts.

The Mortgage Department performs many of the same functions as in the downtown office: cancellations, UCC Certificates and lien certificates. Because the bound books of information are only found downtown, mortgage certificates are not prepared at the Airline branch. Also, property bonds are not processed at the Airline branch because they must be signed by a judge.

The Elections Department is located only at the Airline branch. The staff of this department assists in expediting the Clerk of Court's duties in the election process, including qualifying parish candidates, notifying and training commissioners as to their procedures, and receiving the returns from the commissioners on election night.

The Suit Accounting Department accepts filings for all civil, family and probate matters. All pleadings are transported downtown for signatures and processing.

The City Court Office of Baker offers the issuance of marriage licenses at this office. The Baker office is located at 1320 Alabama Street, in the Municipal Annex behind the Municipal Center.

The East Baton Rouge Clerk of Court’s Office is now offering the availability of Birth and Death Certificates at our Downtown location in City Hall only from 8:00 a.m. until 4:00 p.m.  Certificates are available on a walk-in basis only.  No appointment is necessary.  Click here for more information.


Effective March 1, 2019, credit card payments will be accepted in our Suit Accounting Department for suit filing. 
The percentage rate cost for credit card payments will be 3.5%.
